Improving Healthcare for NDIS Participants by Private Nurses

Too often, NDIS participants struggle to access the medical care they need.

Due to the confusing interface between the public health and disability systems in Australia, it’s not uncommon to hear stories of participants going back and forth between providers and funding agencies for months on end, trying to get a clear answer about where responsibility lies for service provision.

In addition, when a participant does finally get funding for their nursing and medical needs, they sometimes have no option but to utilise a separate mainstream healthcare provider, who is unable to deliver coordinated and specialised disability-specific care.

Why Choose Our Registered Nurses?

As a registered NDIS provider, we aim to address the challenges around healthcare for people with disabilities by delivering truly integrated care.

By utilising our own team of in-home clinical nurses, support workers, and medicare bulk-billing GPs, we can:

  • Meet the majority (or all) of an NDIS participant’s healthcare and disability-related needs, within a single organisation.
  • Deal with medical issues quickly and flexibly in the home, avoiding stressful and lengthy delays in getting care from hospitals, emergency departments, or GP practices.
  • Create an environment where participants, support workers, and medical staff collaborate, to deliver high-quality, coordinated, person-centred care.
  • Maximise the independence and autonomy of NDIS participants living with co-occurring disability and medical issues.
