Assistance with all aspects of the administration, monitoring and management of medication
As the only registered NDIS provider with bulk-billed GP support and in-home nursing care, SeenCare offers advanced medication management services to participants with a wide variety of medical needs.
Whether it’s for an ongoing health condition or a new illness, many people with disability need to take medications on a regular basis.
Because some medications can be complicated and difficult to take, you might find you need help with certain parts of medication management.
This might include things like:
While some people worry that getting help to manage medication will limit their freedom, it can actually maximise health and independence in two important ways.
1. Improved Management of Health Conditions
Ensuring you take your medications on time and in the correct dose is an important part of managing any health condition.
It’s also essential to keep track of any side effects, along with how the medication is working to control your symptoms. When you report this back to your doctor, they can then evaluate if any changes in treatment are required
Getting support with these aspects of medication management helps to keep you as healthy as possible. In turn, this can minimise the negative impact medical conditions have on your life.
2. Greater Capacity to Live Independently
Unfortunately, challenges with the management of medication is a leading reason NDIS participants end up moving into residential care.
Often, because conditions like diabetes, heart disease and epilepsy have somewhat complicated management regimes, people with disability struggle to get adequate support to stay at home.
If you have an ongoing health condition, getting support with medication management is one of the best ways to remain living independently in the community for as long as possible.
As a registered NDIS provider with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, SeenCare has been independently audited and assessed to ensure our medication management services are delivered in a safe and effective way.
